So I don’t like to flaunt it, but I am a total celebrity gossip junky. Perez is my drug of choice, although after buying one of my sister’s a birthday present from Steve Madden, they decided to thank me by giving me a free year subscription to OK! Magazine. This doesn’t help my addiction.

While catching up on the goings on that happened over my vacation, I came across the news that Elisabeth Moss (from Mad Men, which I love) and Fred Armisen (from SNL, which I watch) have separated after only 10 months of marriage. This makes me sad. They seemed cute. But what I have to wonder is, what happens after only 10 months?! After recently getting married myself, an engagement  is not something to enter lightly and the time is meant for reflection and growth, before a huge commitment. Not to get too preachy on you! I know people and situations change – hey, it’s life – but, 10 months just sounds exhausting!

Maybe someone should have given Elisabeth The Conscious Bride.  My sister-in-law gave it to me when I got engaged, along with What No One Tells The Bride. They make a great gift for any bride-to-be you know and I found both worthwhile reading. (Thanks KKF!)

Anyway, speaking of reading, I finished Rebecca while on vacation. I ended up enjoying it quite a bit and I am looking forward to watching the Hitchcock film adaptation with my book club at the end of the month. It will also be my first time entertaining in the new place!

And then I started reading Eat, Pray, Love. There seem to be many opinions on it…so far, I am optimistic. I love Elizabeth Gilbert’s voice and writing style. I will keep you posted.

I had every intention to write posts while on vacation, but that didn’t happen. Only because I was having such a great time! So posts all about it to come…stay tuned.
