Settler of my Free Time

Sorry about the lack of posts, my three ,very dear readers. It has been crazy busy! We have had lots of house guests, house projects, and some high holy days thrown in just for fun.  But no worries, I’m back and better than ever!

Although I do still owe the sister, BK, my famous stuffed eggplant parm recipe. Maybe if we’re nice, she will take pics of the process and final product and we can share it with all of you.

I won’t lie, there is also something else that has been taking up quite a bit of my free time…my new iPod Touch. Loves it!

One of my favorite board games is Settlers of Catan…yes, I am a total nerd.

If you like board games and don’t have this one, you must add it to your collection STAT. And guess what, there’s an app for that!! So, now I can play it ALL THE TIME. This is both fabulous and no good at all.

Have any favorite apps I should check out? I will have more fun posts in the next few days, so keep checking back. I have not deserted you!

By the way, did you know Steve is one of Jupiter’s moons…or at least it is according to BAD.

Now if you have read my about me page you know I love games, so this was a highlight for sure,  but another fun moment of my trip was playing a few hands of Mah Jongg with the Mom and her friends.

It’s true. I’m an old Jewish lady at heart and I love to play Mah Jongg.

In 2005 I started a Mah Jongg group and we played every Wednesday night until we disbanded in 2009. There was a lot going on in 2009 – one left for grad school, one had a baby, I was planning a wedding, so it was the right decision at the time, but I miss it and it’s time to regroup.

I am thinking by October, AF and I will be able to find some new players and things will have settled enough to keep a regular schedule. Do you think we should invite Congressman Anthony Weiner?

If you know anyone who might be looking to join a ladies’ game night (think the female version of poker night) let me know!
